I'm trying to develop a plugin to retrieve artist info automatically, however there doesn't seem to be any way to set the artist info in AP once it's been retrieved from the net.
Could this be implemented in some way? Or is there already a way to do this that I'm missing? |

Ok lots of views but no replies, I guess for now it can't be done. I've got an app that'll query last.fm for artist info. For now you have to copy and paste the fields to AlbumPlayer, which makes this slightly easier than going to the website manually.
If the plugin interface gets updated I should be able to make all this happen automatically.

| Hi, you are right, unfortunately it can't be done, but Peter (AP developer) will find your work very interesting and so do I. I would love to see this as an automatic plugin one day. It will be featured on the homepage. For the moment - hang in there, please. |

I had the demo for mp3toys just before I discoverd this one.
They did this from last.fm
It can be done for the most artist. And it could also plug the lyrics.
But i love album player more with the minilyrics. |

Hi guys thanks for the comments. It's good to hear that this functionality will be included in the main program. I think it would have a smoother integration than could be achieved with a separate plugin. So not much point in me continuing development, it was a fun proof of concept at least. It's given me a few ideas for another app
Peter I hope you have a great holiday, I think you've earned it. Thanks for this great piece of software, best touchscreen interface I've seen for a music player. |
