Hi folks

I currently have my AP on a PC using Win7-32bit output to a single 21" touchscreen (USB connection).

I would like to have a 2nd 21" Touchscreen (USB connection also) in the next room, both working at the same resolution and mirror images of each other, and be able to operate the one instance of AP playing from either mirrored screen, so if a track is chosen in my dining room and I walk into the next room I can change the track playing on the other screen.

Will Win7 allow me to use 2 USB touchscreens at the same time? I would set them up in Display>Multiple displays>Duplicate the display.

cheers

Carl

I have the feeling it will not work, but never tested it, so actually can not say.

What if instead of running it twice on the 2nd monitor you remote connected by vnc and then you can select from each screen and see it update on both.

Well I have my PC at work mirrored onto 2 monitors so I know that works, its just a question of if the 2 touchscreens would work really. I have used teamviewer and remote desktop before but found both slow and jerky, would that not be the case with vnc?

Good chance it will work. Touchscreens normally just emulate the mouse. Most touchscreen drivers allow you to set the screen (in case of multidisplay) it will control. Multiple touchscreens on a PC are not really an issue.

I would say it will work. You have a touch screen acting as a mouse, and most people also plug a mouse in as well. A touch screen is essentially two devices, a monitor and a mouse. You can have two mouses working just fine, so I reckon it will work.
