The screenshot is photoshoped for promotional reasons. Don't worry about the radio, I guess it is very outdated at this time.

Album player in the car!
Oh yes I have been running it for 18 months. :D
I am using an Atom single board PC and a 10" Lilliput touch screen monitor with HDMI connection.
It is fairly good but limited by the PC, monitor and the Piano black skin.
The PC is a little slow but I am using hybrid sleep so it just boots from sleep.
The monitor is a little dim in bright light and too bright at night.
Piano black skin is the only one that will run on the 1024x600 resolution.
The skin could do with quite alot of work to make buttons bigger, and have the option to remove buttons that we never use eg. 'No entry' 'Rating Star' 'Volume bar' (I have an analogue panametric controller for the audio)
Is anybody up to re-designing Piano Black or Integro to fit my 1024x600 monitor? I am more than willing to give them a go!

Very interested in this post and the idea of transferring AlbumPlayer to my car.
Are there any other ways to do this? Like, say, using a Tablet with docking station that connects to the car speakers?
In car PC's are quite expensive so if it were possible to put everything on to a tablet, the tablet could also be used for other things.
Biggest problem is HD space. My music collection is over 500GB.
Would just love to be able to have a good touch screen in the car with a HD in the boot.
More ideas please.

The AlbumPlayer is windows based so it can't run on an Android tablet or iOs

I just discover this thread. i'am french and my english...

I have a PC in my car for years (9) with a 7' screen so resol is only 800*600.

Having a huge collection of 1500 CD (Flac or APE version = about 700 Go) : Why in the car and nothing at home ? I searched a good product for home usage and years after purchassed AP. It was 4.9. Now it's 5.3 and about 5500 CD at home.

Tryed AP in the car : Too much functions, too complicated to add an album in database and i can't read anything with such a small screen.

my soft is much basic. It use WMP with a special interface only controlled with one knob (SpaceNavigator) No touchscreen, it's not sun friendly.

The PC is a mini ITX Card it is directly switched with car ignition.

Here is the latest configuration using 9.7" Lilliput FA1000-NP/C/T Touch Screen Monitor.
This is the third Lilliput monitor I have used and the best by some margin.
Screen resolution is 1024x768 which is as good as it gets for the moment.
Album player runs fine with Piano Black, the text is a bit hard to read but that is more album player than lack of resolution.
I am really looking forward to Version 6 hopefully it will work fine on this screen size resolution.
