Anyone out there know what the limit for files is for Albumplayer ?

Appreciate any feedback from big hitters out there (i.e. - anyone with a library over the 20k files mark)

Any problems sneak in with huge librarys ?

Thanks in advance

Thank you gentlemen,

my humble collection is 45,000 and rising quickly.
300GB

Just have to get around to installing my HP475 NAS server.....
Then I can make the most of the 6TB storage !!!!
Yipee

Become kind of hooked on Torrent sites... Wonder is there a help group out there for me ?

The one thing Albumplayer does not like is when you add a few hundred titles at once and set autolookup for the album covers..
The odd time it can trip up. I won't say hang because it doesn't - just sweats a little. But that could be my fault with other things going on in the back ground..

Hi,

the cover lookup doesn't take really long. Maybe you have 'calculating replay gain' checked on. This is a very time consuming process, but in the end it is worth it, because it leads to playing back all songs on an average volume level.

mmmh ! 123,000 songs is huge.

Let's say that a song is in average 3'30".
If you listen to the music 4 hours a day, 365 days a year, you will need approximately 5 years for the whole library.

That's funny

mostly flac but a mix of mp3 and wma in there too, on a 1TB external drive. Still in the process of converting all my concert dvd's to mp4 video, but I haven't added that in yet. I went back to the 5.2 stable version and am waiting for the video support to stabilize.
Haven't finished adding all the music yet either, a HUGE chunk of it is all grateful dead
