Same here, I hope everything's well with Peter too. I'm sure he'll show up sooner or later.

I was also wondering what Peter is up to with Ap ?
Will there be a new release ? Will the V6 bugs ever be fixed ?
I tend to think that V6 will be the last one... I don't know why, a sort of premonition, it's all so quiet here....

I am still here. :) People that ever tried to email me know that they always got a satisfying answer.

As Jan Naber said. I was doing totally other things. Main reason, the competition with streaming services like Spotify has taken away the majority of potential customers. Of course the die hard jukebox users like myself are still there, but still had to search for other sources of income.

I still love the AlbumPlayer myself at least and use it every day and even very slow I am also working on things.

- Web remote

- Converting V5 skins (Nostalgica first (in progress, see screenhshot), then Integro will follow)

Why are there no new V6 skins? This has two reasons.
1. The V6 way of operating has not been appreciated by all. V5 style has more fans.
2. I am not longer in contact with the graphics designer who build all nice skins from before

So conclusion:
1. I am still working on AP even slow
2. If you have a problem other cant help here in the forum, just email me.
3. I will not always be on the forum (but will try more regularly). For now will try to clean up a bit

Good To See You back Peter, i would willingly pay for updates as i love Album Player, The program was a reasonable price to buy at the start so to invest in its future i am willing to do. start up a pay for update scheme as you get nothing for free now days Peter. :D

Good to see some life and to hear from you Peter!

I've never switched to V6 because of the lack of skins, so it is a good news that Integro will come, and I hope with the different size of cover.

Also, it is a good choice to work on remote control from web browser as Tunes Remote in V5 has not been working anymore for a long time : I can browse the Library but nothing happens when I click on a track!

I know that the skins is an issue in V6. But the "Music Center" and the "Piano Black Touch" offer 3 cover sizes already since the start. The newly converted skins will have also 3 cover sizes.

And yes I really like to say hi to the web remote and goodbye to the tunes remote. Depending on developments of Apple is not very nice, it breaks and don't know where. :(

Glad to see you back Peter!

When I bought AlbumPlayer, I remember it included lifetime free updates. I understand that maybe this business model is not viable anymore with the popularity of streaming like with Spotify. Maybe a good compromise that will fulfill your engagement is to still offer free updates and at the same time a way to donate for anyone interested. I'm not sure yet how much I would donate but I certainly will do if it's possible. I don't care about streaming and for having try the Spotify interface in a bar, it sucks big time compare to your interface (V5 layout). For me the best way to go digital is to still buy CDs and rip them in flac. Maybe this is the most expansive way but it's also the best way for many reasons.

I have switched to V6. What come to mind right now that I miss the most compare to V5 is to see the total time of the playlist. Also to be able to completely disable the band picture would be great. I have many obscure bands and the image selected automatically doesn't fit. To me it's not worth it to start searching on the Internet a picture of the band. Anyway, the lineup of many bands change overtime. I have also many other things in mind I would like in V6. For some, we already have discussed by emails.

Happy new year to you Peter and to everybody who bought this great software!

Thank you for your input. When you say hide the artist picture, do you mean the slideshow or the picture coming with the artist collection?

I mean the band picture we see with the artist collection. The best would be to use that space to see more albums. Maybe this is not possible because I think this space is used also to show the cover of an album when we show album info, which is ok. At least it would be nice to have a global option for not showing the band picture with the artist collection. If it's not possible to use that space to show more albums maybe we can show something else to fill that space. I'm not sure yet what this can be but this has to be something else than a wrong picture of the band. Even with the right picture, I would have preferred to use that space to see more albums (when the band has a lot of albums / singles).

Also the very small picture of the band we see for each band when we select the Artist tab and a letter... I'd like to disable this as well... Too much work to have an accurate picture for each band...
