Hello, I am the pride owner of a wonderful Ayre qb9 dac.
I use Asio4all to obtain bitperfect playback.
Works great but sometimes when changing tracks of a different bitrate ((e.g. fromm 88khz to 96khz) i get this very annoying distorted sound... which lasts till i stop the track.
No problems when disabling asio.
Anyone familiar to this?

Is there maybe also native drivers for your audiocard to see it makes a difference compared to asio4all?

this is linked with ASIO changing buffer size (latency) when switching to higher sampling rate. I have got the same problem with RME Fireface UC card. Try to set up sampling rate on your manufacturer driver to highest possible (like 192kHz or 96kHz), and rerun Album Player. then all songs will be played at that highest rate.

or try to use manufacturer ASIO driver, if exists
